General Industrial Coatings

Coatings have a dual role to play on any product. For many of our customers, protection of their valuable equipment is vital. With characteristics such as effective corrosion protection, mechanical, weathering, heat and radiation resistance, coatings contribute to the durability of a product. In addition, colour is frequently an identifying brand feature and key design element, so the perfectly colour matched paint will serve to show product and brands at their best.

Axalta Coating Systems makes paints that perform even under the toughest conditions. Our product ranges provide the right solution - efficient, economical and environmentally-responsible - for every customer in a wide range of industries. Selecting the optimum industrial coating systems is easy thanks to our support staff’s technical expertise.

Superior control of the coating process, excellent colour matching, a high first-run-OK rate and excellent throwing power give our customers the lowest possible consumption rate at various specified film thicknesses. Axalta Coating Systems has many years of experience with electrocoats and spray liquids.

As a global company, we have proven expertise in protection, aesthetics and productivity that we can share with our customers.

Interior Drums

Interior drum coatings are used to protect the inside of metal drums and black plate, tinplate and aluminium containers so they can be used safely as packaging for all kinds of filling goods. At Axalta Coating Systems we have decades of experience in producing, applying and testing interior drum coatings. Axalta coatings are designed to meet a number of food safety regulations applicable in the US and the EU, including Germany’s BgVV recommendations. They also meet the steel packaging quality standard VPA 7.

We have tested our interior drum coatings’ resistance to more than 1,400 different filling goods. Our Interior drum coatings are easy to apply and offer outstanding elasticity and resilience during the drum manufacturing process.

Axalta Coating Systems offers two different drum coatings so you can be secure in the knowledge that these products are safe for use and protect the container as well as the products within.

Machinery

Large industrial machines represent a large investment for their owners and operators, often to the tune of millions. Contact with chemicals, moisture, oil and fat, as well as mechanical stresses can damage these machines and their components and limit their function. They should be avoided at all costs. Our coatings systems can provide the necessary quick and easy protection they require together with an appropriate surface finish. Formulated to be robust and for easy and precise colour-matching, our PercoTop range is suitable for all manner of substrates whether it be aluminium, steel, sandblasted and galvanised steel, EP or UP-GF. In addition, it has the added bonus of being stable in use – particularly on large surfaces or complex shapes – and quick to dry.

Architectural & Decorative

Architects and engineers want the buildings they design and build to retain their appeal for many years. PercoTop liquid coatings from Axalta Coating Systems make sure both the exterior and interior of buildings look good for longer.
